This is just a beginning

Time has passed soooo quickly... who would have thought. Two weeks ago I came back to Poland from Spain...

Oviedo, Asturias - my home for past five months
Well, they say that the time passes quickly when you are really happy. It's true! I had an amazing time...the best one. I wish I had more...but I already know that I'll come back soon.
I've met a bunch of people that I will never forget. I've made strong friendships.  I've seen beautiful places. I've made myself at home. I've found myself.  I've left a piece of my heart there.

And you may think that it's over. But it's not like that. You may think it's the end of the journey but in reality it's just a beginning.

It's a beginning. You can start again...richer cause you gained new experiences.

You won't be the same and it's all right.

I know that I am not the same.

What can I say?

If you want something really bad...do whatever it takes to get it.
If you are scared... don't be.
Life is to damn short for this shit. Fear is a friend who's misunderstood. We only waste our precious time by worrying.
Get out and take actions. Stop complaining. Say what you feel. Be honest. Open your mind. Make yourself happy by doing what you love.

This may sound a bit cheesy, all of these advice...but I tried it. It works!

We are capable of doing great things. Remember this and live.

What's Your story?

 - What's your story?

I remember the time when I heard this question...
It was summer 2010 and I was in the middle of my hichhiking trip to Barcelona with my friend. We got stuck in the south of Germany. The guy who stopped the car didn't asked about our destination, he asked about a story behind it.

But what was his story?

This man inspired me a lot.

He was a forty year-old lawyer from Ukraine but through his life he had lived in five different countries and he spent couple of years in each one of them. He knew at least four languages. When he was youger he hichhiked through United States. He adopted his little niece and gave her a life full of possiblities. He didn't want anything in return. He travelled a lot. All these years he was looking for his place...I can tell you that he finally found it.

Well, and I am still on my way, collecting experiences, gathering feelings, capturing moments in my head...exploring the world, enjoying it, seeking my place.
But hey! I am not that desperate to find it.
Because it's not about the destination, it's about the journey...

Sweater Weather

Well...I thought that here I would have an endless summer (hahaha) but the time of cold has finally come!
I am still trying to adapt myself to the climate of Oviedo...and I am telling you that It's crazy...the changes of temperature are huge (from 30 degrees to 6 degrees in one week).
Thanks to this and my shitty immune system... I am dealing with a cold for almost two weeks.
I cannot count how much garlic I have eaten and many cups of tea I have drunk!
But I will get used to the weather for sure, I feel optimistic about it (laying here under the blanket and sipping my cup of lemon tea)

Sweather weather has come to Spain! (well, at least to the north...)

Here you have a short video that I made in beautiful romantic Galicia (the video was made near the Tower of Hercules an ancient roman lighthouse which is situated about 2-3 kilometers from the centre of A Coruña)

Culture shock? - no way!

¡Hola a todos!

I disappeared for a moment. I had so much to do this vacation that I neglected my little blog.

Well, guys...I left my cosy home in Poland and moved out. For five months I'll be studying in Oviedo - a lovely city in northern Spain.

Oviedo
I have to confess that at first I wanted to go to the south of Spain cause I am a "beachy" girl that loves heat and the sea. And the north? I didn't know what to expect. I had this stereotype of  a beautiful, green, rainy and cold place in my head. But I couldn't have chosen better! The city is beyond amazing. It's located in a valley, bounded by the moutains. The weather by far is great. We have september and the temperatures are still very high.

On our spare time we take the bus to Gijón or Salinas (just 20 minutes from our place) and go to the beach. The view at the ocean is breathtaking!

We arrived two weeks ago, right at the beggining of the festival San Mateo. Day by day we are learing something new about the spanish culture. Believe me,.. it's like throwing yourself in at the deep end! But do we have a culture shock? Never ever! We enjoy every second of this experience. People are really open, kind and helpful. Here, life has it's own rythm. If you are stressed and depressed Spain would be a great therepy!

There's so much to write about, but I won't do it now. Every little thing needs it's own post so...

Besos desde Oviedo y hasta luego :*

Home...

Today I realized that it's my last weekend here.
I am moving out.
After six years...the time has finally come.
I'm packing all of my things, all of the memories I collected while I was here. I am coming back to my hometown for vacation and then leaving to another country.
It's time to start something new. I'm so excited.
Movement.
It's highly needed. It helps you grow.

Where is your home?
They say that home is where your heart is.

Totally agreed.

Ideal house?
Well, I always dreamed of having  a house by the sea. White walls. Sheer curtains. Big bed. Full of light. Cozy. Serene.
